Wyze Solar Cam Security Cameras Recall Lawsuit

On June 4, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the security camera.

According to the CPSC, the incorrect assembly instructions included with the product can lead consumers to puncture the lithium‑ion battery’s metal casing, which may cause the battery to overheat, posing a risk of serious injury from fire and burn hazards.

There are currently 13 reports of the security cameras overheating, and 6 exploding and catching fire, resulting in 6 consumers experiencing burn injuries.

Are the Wyze Security Cameras Recalled?

Yes, Wyze Labs, Inc., of Kirkland, Washington announced a product safety recall.

This recall involves Wyze Solar Cam Pan lithium-ion battery operated outdoor security cameras. The products are equipped with motorized pan-and-tilt functionality and a solar panel. The model number, WYZESCPWH, is located on the back of the camera.

The security cameras were sold in stores through Home Depot and Micro Center, and online at www.wyze.com, Temu, Amazon, B2B Renew, Inc., ReturnPro and Best Buy from Oct. 2025 through April 2026 for about $80.
