Wybotics Recalls Robotic Pool Vacuums Recall Lawsuit

On April 9, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the pool vacuum.

According to the assessment of CPSC, the lithium-ion battery in the recalled pool vacuums can overheat, posing burn and fire hazards to consumers.

There are currently 10 reports of the pool vacuums overheating or catching fire while charging and not charging.

Are the Pool Vacuums Recalled?

Yes, Wybotics Inc. of Arcadia, California announced a product safety recall.

This recall involves Wybotics Osprey 700 Max pool vacuums with model numbers WY3312MAX and WY100MAX and S1 model number WY200. Only products with serial numbers listed in the below are subject to recall:

Osprey 700 Max

  • WY100M230117XXXX
  • WY100M230127XXXX
  • WY100M230130XXXX

S1

  • WY100M230318XXXX
  • WY200-230328XXXX
  • W200**230330XXXX

Both vacuums were sold in grey and blue, with the Wybot name printed on their fronts. The serial number can be found inside of the top cover.

The pool vacuums were sold online through Amazon.com, BestBuy.com and Wybotpool.com for between $500 and $700. The S1 was sold from April 2023 through Sept. 2024 and the Osprey 700 Max was sold from April 2023 through Nov. 2024.
