On April 9, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the power bank.
According to the assessment of CPSC, the lithium-ion battery in the power banks may overheat while in use, and could potentially ignite. This poses a risk of fire and burn hazard to consumers..
There are currently three reports of ignition and fires.
Are the Power Banks Recalled?
Yes, Shenzhen Baihang Technology Co., Ltd., of China announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves VEEKTOMX VT103 Small Portable Charger Mini Power Banks. The power banks were sold in the colors white, pink, or purple. The power banks feature model number “VT103” imprinted on the back of the power bank.
The power banks were sold through Amazon.com between Jan. 2024 and Sept. 2024, for between $24 and $30.
