Baby Formula Lawsuit – Similac and Enfamil given to premature babies is linked to a serious gastrointestinal disease known as NEC (necrotizing enterocolitis). Similac, Similac Alimentum, and Elecare were recalled in February 2022 following links to Cronobacter sakazakii and Salmonella Newport infections. More recently, ByHeart baby formula has been recalled after the FDA received at least 83 reports of babies diagnosed with infant botulism. This is a nationwide recall and outbreak of infant botulism. In addition, Nara Organics Formula announced a voluntary recall on June 13, 2026 due to the presence of botulism spores in their products. At this time, there have been three cases of illness associated with the outbreak.
