Baby Formula Lawsuit – Similac and Enfamil given to premature babies is linked to a serious gastrointestinal disease known as NEC (necrotizing enterocolitis). Similac, Similac Alimentum, and Elecare were recalled in February 2022 following links to Cronobacter sakazakii and Salmonella Newport infections. More recently, ByHeart baby formula has been recalled after the FDA received at least 83 reports of babies diagnosed with infant botulism. This is a nationwide recall and outbreak of infant botulism. In addition, Nara Organics Formula announced a voluntary recall on June 13, 2026 due to the presence of botulism spores in their products. At this time, there have been three cases of illness associated with the outbreak.

It is known that cooking at high temperatures in a sealed environment (a pressure cooker) is a faster way to prepare food. A pot boils at 100° C / 212° F. Liquid in a pressure cooker boils at 125° C / 257° F. The increased temperature and high pressure allow for shorter cook times. Pressure cookers are widely popular, often perceived by consumers as safe, but that’s not always the reality. Since 2019, there have been over 300 pressure cooker lawsuits alleging dangerous defects and injuries.

A lawsuit was filed on April 8, 2024, in Texas Federal Court on behalf of Johnson//Becker’s client Iglesias Smith concerning injuries she allegedly sustained from an ALDI, INC Ambiano 9-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker.
