On May 7, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the bed rail.
According to the CPSC, the bed rails may violate mandatory safety standards for adult portable bed rails. Users may become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, posing a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. Additionally, the bed rails may not meet structural stability requirements and could pose a fall hazard.
Are the Portable Bed Rails Recalled?
Yes, shenzhenkaiwendishangmaoyouxiangongsi (Shenzhen Kaiwendi Trading Co., Ltd.), dba Eokeanon, of China announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves Svnntaa adult portable bed rails. The bed rails consist of white metal tubing, and contain black foam handle grips and a fabric pouch.
The bed rails were sold online through Amazon.com from Aug. 2023 through Jan. 2026 for about $32.
