On July 9, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the battery charger.
According to the CPSC, the lithium-ion battery in the chargers can overheat and ignite, posing a risk injury or death from fire and burn hazards.
There are currently five reports of the power banks overheating and catching fire, including two reports of burns to consumers.
Are the Battery Chargers Recalled?
Yes, iDecoz Inc. dba Flaunt, of Brooklyn, New York and Case-Mate, of Atlanta, Georgia announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves Flaunt MagSafe Battery Charger power banks with model number E33A. “FLAUNT” is engraved on the front right side of the power bank and there is a small circular button in the bottom center of the front side of the power bank. The power banks were sold in melon, black, lavender and white.
The battery chargers were sold through flauntcases.com from May 2024 through April 2025 for about $65.
