On May 21, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the lights.
According to the CPSC, the lights may overheat while in use, posing a risk of serious injury or death from a fire hazard.
There are currently nine reports of the lights sparking or overheating.
Are the Lights Recalled?
Yes, Bethlehem Lights LLC, of Naperville, Illinois announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves the 10-inch Illuminated Ribbon Sphere. The light is a spherical ornament made of reflective material with a spiral faceted design. The sphere is illuminated from within by LED lights.
The ornamental lights were sold online through QVC.com from July 2024 through April 2026 for about $43.
