On Jan. 29, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the LuxJet Submersible LED Lights.
According to the assessment of CPSC, the LED lights may violate the mandatory standard for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries. They contain lithium coin batteries that can be accessed easily by children, posing a potential ingestion hazard which can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death.
Are the LED lights Recalled?
Yes, Shenzhen Shimei Lighting Co., Ltd dba as Luxjet, of China announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves LuxJet Submersible LED Lights. The submersible lights were sold in sets of 10 LED color changing lights and came with two controls.
The LED lights were sold through Amazon.com from Jan. 2022 through Nov. 2025 for about $23.
