PandaEar Portable Hook-On Highchairs Recall Lawsuit

On May 21, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the hook-on chairs.

According to the CPSC, the portable hook-on highchairs may violate the mandatory standard for portable hook-on chairs as the crotch restraints can be removed without the use of a tool, posing a fall hazard to infants.

Are the Hook-On Highchairs Recalled?

Yes, PandaEar of Lake Dallas, Texas and Rockville, Maryland announced a product safety recall.

This recall involves two models of PandaEar portable hook-on chairs:

  • C2102 – can be found on a label located on the bottom of the fabric seats
  • BTC-51 – is not located on the product

The chairs are used to seat and suspend young children at the dining table. The chairs contain a black or gray metal frame and are covered with a black, gray, or blue dinosaur print polyester and cotton material. “Panda Ear” can be found on a label stitched to the side of the fabric seats.

The hook-on highchairs were sold online through Amazon.com from Feb. 2022 through Nov. 2025 for about $25.
