On April 30, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the heated insoles.
According to the assessment of the CPSC, the internal lithium-ion battery may overheat and ignite while in use by the consumer. This poses a potential risk of serious burn injury and fire hazard.
There are currently 10 reports of the insoles igniting, catching on fire, and other thermal incidents resulting in at least four burn injuries, including second- and third-degree burns requiring skin grafts.
Are the Heated Insoles Recalled?
No, the manufacturer, Taiyuan Haoming Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd., has not responded to the CPSC’s requests for a recall.
The insoles are black and red, contain a lithium-ion battery in the heel area and are operated by a remote control. The brand and seller name “ZroeZroe” can be found on the purchase receipt.
The heated insoles were sold through Amazon and Ebay.
