On Sept. 10, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the hair dryer brush.

According to the CPSC, the hair dryer brushes may be in violation of federal regulations for hair dryers as they lack an integrated immersion protection device, which presents a substantial product hazard to consumers and the risk of death or serious injury from electrocution or shock. In addition, the recalled hair dryer brushes can overheat, posing a burn hazard.

There is currently one report of the hair dryer overheating and melting.
