On Jan. 29, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the above ground pools.
According to the assessment of CPSC, the compression strap that surrounds the exterior of the pool supports may create a foothold, allowing a child access to the pool, posing a drowning risk.
Are the Above Ground Pools Recalled?
Yes, Starmatrix Group Inc., of China announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves Sunneday and Blue Bay brand above-ground pools 48 inches and taller in the following make, model, and upc code:

- Blue Bay Softsided Pool 18’x52′ – 361018G – 191127003613
- Blue Bay Softsided Pool 18’x52′ – 380018T – 191127003804
