On Dec. 18, 2025, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the Blue Wave above ground pool.
According to the assessment of CPSC, the above ground pool may have a design flaw that allows children unanticipated access to the pool. This poses a potential drowning risk to children.
Are the Blue Wave Pools Recalled?
Yes, Blue Wave Products Inc., of Batavia, Illinois announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves all Blue Wave brand above-ground pools 48 inches and taller. The recalled above-ground pools contain a compression strap (also referred to as a reinforcing belt) that wraps around the pool on the outside of the vertical support poles. Model information is printed on the original box and on the instruction manual. The recall includes the following models:

- NB19797
- NB19798
- NB19890
- NB19891
- NB19900
- NB19902
- NB19904
- NB19905
- NB19906
- NB19907
- NB19908
- NB19909
- NB19910
The above ground pools were sold in The Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Dunham’s Sports retail stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Wayfair.com from Jan. 2021 through July 2025 for between $600 and $2,000 depending on the size and model of the pool and accessories purchased.
