Sondiko Butane Torches Recall Lawsuit

Sondiko Butane Torches have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled lighters.

What is the Problem?

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recalled lighters do not have child-resistant mechanisms and were not tested to the federal regulatory requirements for child resistance. The Code of Federal Regulations stipulates that a lighter sold in the United States must have mechanisms that prevent a child from using it. Young children under five could ignite the lighters, posing fire and burn hazards.

Is My Lighter Included in this Recall?

The April 24, 2025, recall includes about 34,000 Sondiko Butane Torches (model number S400), sold in single and in two-packs. The name “Sondiko” is printed on the nozzle and the model number is on the head of the torch/lighter. They are black and silver.

The recalled lighters were sold online at Amazon.com from October 2023 through March 2025 for about $15 for a single torch and $26 for a two-pack.
