VPR Brands Lighter Recall Lawsuit

VPR Brands’ lighters have been recalled due to failure to meet federal regulations on child safety features. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC are currently accepting new lighter lawsuits. Learn more below.

On Feb. 8, 2024, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled VPR Brands’ lighters due to failure to meet federal safety standards on child safety features.

According to the CPSC, the recalled lighters pose a fire and burn injury hazard due to a lack of child-resistant mechanisms. Without these safety mechanisms, children can ignite the lighters.

Approximately 62,200 lighters are included in the recall.

The recall affects Slim Soft and Slim Jet disposable lighters, which came in the following colors:

  • Black
  • Blue
  • Clear
  • Gray
  • Red
  • White
  • Yellow

The CPSC advises consumers to stop using the recalled lighters immediately and destroy the devices according to VPR Brands’ instructions.
