Ridstar Q20 E-Bikes Lawsuit

On March 19, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the e-bike.

According to the assessment of CPSC, the e-bikes’ batteries and wires may ignite, which poses a fire and burn hazard to consumers.

There are currently 11 known reports of fire, including one burn injury, and five reports of smoke inhalation.

Are the Ridstar E-Bikes Recalled?

No, according to the CPSC, the manufacturer, Huizhou Xingqishi Sporting Goods Co., Ltd., of China, has refused to agree to an acceptable recall.

This warning involves Ridstar Q20 and Q20 Pro e-bikes.

The e-bikes were sold online through Amazon.com, Ridstar.net, and Walmart.com.

Update June 2026
On June 25, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the e-bikes.

According to the CPSC, the front wheel can detach while in use without warning, posing a crash hazard and risk of injury or death to consumers.

The CPSC is aware of 32 reports of the front wheel detaching, including 31 reports of injuries such as concussions and broken bones.

This warning involves Ridstar Q20 and Q20 Lite e-bikes. The e-bikes are black and the brand name Ridstar is printed on the battery. The model number Q20 or Q20 Lite is printed on the purchase receipt.

The e-bikes were sold on AliExpress.us, Amazon.com, Ridstar.net and Walmart.com.
