On Oct. 22, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the outdoor lights.
According to the CPSC, the knuckle of the light’s adjustable tilt arm mountings can fail, allowing the luminaire to fall from the mounting arm, posing a risk of serious injury due to impact hazard.
There are currently 13 reports of the adjustable tilt arm mountings breaking, and four reports of the fixtures falling.
Are the Outdoor Lights Recalled?
Yes, Lithonia Lighting, of Atlanta, Georgia announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves Luminaire lights with certain adjustable tilt mounting arms manufactured between August 2019 to July 2020 and August 2024 to April 2026, including models:
- AASP
- AARP
- AAWB
- AAWSC
The adjustable tilt arm mounts the RSX luminaire to a square pole, round pole, wall bracket or wall bracket with surface mount conduit. The arm mount allows the luminaire to be tilted from 0 degrees to 90 degrees above horizontal. Consumers should contact Lithonia Lighting to confirm their Luminaire with adjustable tilt mounting arms are included in the recall.
The outdoor lights were sold through Commercial distributors nationwide including Turtle & Hughes Inc. and Consolidated Electrical Distributors for commercial outdoor lighting applications from August 2019 to August 2026 for between $400 and $2200.
