On Feb. 12, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the bed rails.

According to the assessment of CPSC, the bed rails may violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails. Users may become entrapped posing a potential risk of entrapment or asphyxiation. Additionally, the push pins and push pin holes are incorrectly sized, posing a potential laceration hazard.

Yes, Guangzhou Kezhinuo Maoyi Youxian Gongsi, dba Fortemotus Direct US, of China announced a product safety recall.

This recall involves Fortemotus-branded adult portable bed rails, model USFTMTJAS008. The recalled bed rails have black tubing with black foam rubber handle grips. The Foremotus logo is printed on the bed rail’s fabric cover and the model number on the owner’s manual.

The bed rails were sold through Amazon.com from Aug. 2025 through Oct. 2025 for about $100.
