On July 17, 2026, The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the car seat.
According to the NHTSA, the car seats may fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 213, “Child Restraint Systems” The headrest of the car seat may shift unexpectedly, and could increase the risk of severe injury in the event of a crash
Are the Evenflo Car Seats Recalled?
Yes, Evenflo has announced a voluntary product safety recall.
This recall only affects the REO models sold in the U.S. with model numbers beginning with CS26021.
Model Numbers:
- CS260212521 (BROOKLINE)
- CS260212522 (LENOX)
- CS260212536 (HOLDEN)\
- CS260212537 (NANTUCKET)
- CS260212538 (DANVERS)
- CS260212539 (CHELSEA)
The model numbers can be found on a white label on the back of the headrest.
The car seats were sold from March 2025 and the present
