On Jan. 22 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the baby gates.
According to the assessment of CPSC, the baby gate may violate the mandatory standard for expansion gates and expandable enclosures. A child’s torso can fit through the opening between the gate and the floor, posing a risk of injury, entrapment, or death.
Are the Cumbor Baby Gates Recalled?
Yes, Aborder Products of Irving, Texas announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves “Model Number: S5V2” and “Cohort Information: A202504S5V2A001”, which can be found printed on a label sewn to the mesh screen. They have a metal frame and a mesh screen, and were sold in black, gray, and white.
The baby gates were sold online through Amazon.com in September 2025 for about $40.
