FENGQS Electric Bikes Recall Lawsuit

FENGQS F7 Pro E-bikes have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled electric bicycles.

What is the Problem?

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the e-bike’s lithium-ion battery can overheat and ignite, posing serious fire and burn hazards to consumers. FENGQS and the CPSC have received at least 13 reports of the e-bikes igniting. The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the recalled electric bikes.

What is Thermal Runaway?

Lithium-ion batteries are widely used because they can store a significant amount of energy while remaining compact and lightweight. However, they can be risky—if they overheat, a chain reaction known as thermal runaway can occur, releasing energy quickly and potentially causing a fire or explosion. This can be triggered by factors such as overcharging, damage, or internal faults/defects.

Is My E-Bike Included in this Recall?

The July 24, 2025, recall includes about 100 FENGQS F7 Pro Electric Bikes. The e-bikes were sold in blue. “FENGQS” is printed on the downtube, and the model number, “F7 Pro”, is printed near the rear wheel. The production date (2024/4/21) is printed on a label on the front of the battery.
