On Feb. 12, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the Watkins hot tub.
According to the assessment of CPSC, the hydromassage rotary jets may create a suction force that could allow the consumer’s hair to become entangled, potentially causing their head to be pulled underwater and posing a possible entanglement and drowning hazard to the user.
There is currently one report of a consumer whose hair became entangled in the jets.
