Vornado Space Heater Recall Lawsuit

Vornado Air recalled their Portable small tower space heaters due to fire hazards. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) posted the recall on Mar. 9, 2023. and was updated June 4, 2026

Why did Vornado recall the space heaters?

Vornado Air recalled its Portable SRTH small room tower space heaters due to fire hazards. According to the CPSC, a manufacturing error resulted in a miswiring in the heaters. As a result, the heaters can overheat and catch fire.

1,450 space heaters were recalled.

Which models are included in the space heaterVornado Space Heater Recalled recall?

Vornado Air SRTH small room tower space heaters with a JUL22 date code and TYPE SRTH are included in the space heater recall. The date codes are located on the bottom of the heater at the beginning of the serial number. The serial numbers are printed on the silver rating label.

Vornado’s space heaters were sold at Bed Bath & Beyond and Amazon.com from November 2022 through December 2022.

The CPSC advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled space heaters.

Update June. 2026

On June 4, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the space heater.

According to the CPSC, the heater’s fan blade may be experiencing a malfunction which could increase the risk of ignition, posing a fire hazard to consumers.

This recall involves Vornado SRTH small room tower heaters. They were sold in black and white and featured the word “Vornado” printed on the front of the unit. The heaters have two heat settings (low and high) and a fan.The model “TYPE SRTH” is printed on the silver rating label located on the bottom of the product.

The space heaters were sold in stores nationwide including Kohl’s, Bed Bath & Beyond and ACE Hardware and online at Vornado.com and Amazon.com from Aug. 2013 through May 2026 for between $40 and $50.
