On Oct. 16, 2025 The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using Vaast bicycles and frames.

Due to a current product malfunction, the bicycle frame may develop a hairline fracture near a weld. This has the potential to cause the tubes to separate, posing a risk of falling.

There are currently 22 reports of frame fractures and three reports of frame tube separation, one of which resulted the rider to fall from the bicycle receiving a minor injury.
