Textron Specialized Vehicles Arctic Cat Catalyst Snowmobiles Recall Lawsuit

Arctic Cat Model Year 2024 Catalyst Snowmobiles have been recalled as they pose a crash hazard. Johnson//Becker, PLLC lawyers are currently accepting new lawsuits for recalled Arctic Cat Catalyst Snowmobiles. Learn more below.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the May 9, 2024, recall involves about 2,700 snowmobiles. The steering caps, which are used to hold the Arctic Cat MY24 Catalyst 600’s handlebar in place, can crack and cause the handlebars to become unstable.

The specific model names included in the recall are ZR, Riot, and Mountain. The model names are printed on the side panels of the snowmobiles. The sleds were sold in various colors. The 10th letter of the VIN (vehicle identification number) will be an “R.” The VIN is stamped on the tunnel section or the decal on the top/rear of the tunnel.

The CPSC warns consumers to stop using snowmobiles immediately. Dealers have reported 95 incidents of steering caps cracking during initial snowmobile setups. The snowmobiles were sold at Arctic Cat Dealers nationwide from September 2023 through April 2024 for between $13,800 and $16,100.
