The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled Textron Specialized Vehicles’ Arctic Cat 8000 Series snowmobiles due to fire hazards. The recall notice was posted on June 8, 2023.

Why were Textron’s snowmobiles recalled?

According to the CPSC, the fuel rail dampener snap ring could loosen and leak fuel. Leaking fuel poses a fire hazard. The company received nine reports of fuel leaks and one fire.

Approximately 8,350 products were included in this recall, with an additional 4,630 in Canada.

What models are included in the Textron snowmobile recall?

The recall involves all snowmobiles in the Arctic Cat 8000 Series. These snowmobiles were sold in various colors.

The CPSC advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled Textron snowmobiles.
