Summit Treestands has recalled the Viper Level Pro SD model. According to the announcement made through the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the tree stands’ “cable can dislodge from the cable assembly, posing a fall hazard to consumers.”

About 2,555 Viper Level Pro SD tree stands sold between January 2022 and October 2022 are affected by the recall. The hunting equipment was available at sporting goods stores and on summitstands.com, and comes with a model number of either SU81140 or SU81141.

The recalled tree stands have resulted in two reports of the cable dislodging. Owners are advised to stop using the defective tree stand immediately.
