On September 4, 2025 The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC ) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the AR-15 Chamber Lock Pro Firearm Lock. This is a lock system designed to latch into the chamber of an AR-15 style rifle and prevent it from discharging. However, a defect may allow the chamber locks to be forcibly removed, which in turn could permit unauthorized and unintended access to the firearm.

Yes. StopBox has announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves certain StopBox USA AR-15 Chamber Lock Pros made from anodized aluminum in shades of red and black. The StopBox “S” logo and “CHAMBER LOCK PRO AR-15” are laser etched on the back of the product. The locks were shipped between June 2 and July 15, 2025 , and would have been purchased from StopBox USA in store and online, and from other dealers across the nation.
