On May 28, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the sauna blanket.
According to the CPSC, the sauna blankets can overheat while in use, posing a potential fire and burn hazard.
There are currently six reports of the blankets overheating.
Are the Sauna Blankets Recalled?
Yes, Tzumi Electronics of New York, New York announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves SLF Sauna Blankets featuring model number 30065TAR and serial number WF2236430065. The sauna blankets are black with white accent handles and were sold with a control panel and wireless remote to adjust the time and temperature.
The sauna blankets were sold in stores at Target, Macy’s, and Snappy and online at Target.com from Feb. 2025 through Feb. 2026 for about $130
