What is the Problem?
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the hedge trimmer blade can unexpectedly activate if the safety or trigger control is pressed individually, rather than engaging both safety and trigger controls simultaneously, posing a laceration hazard. The CPSC has received at least 27 reports of the trimmers’ blades activating after only one button was pushed, including at least 16 reports of injuries. The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the trimmers immediately.
