On April 9, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the tabletop fire pits.
According to the assessment by the CPSC, using the fire pits may result in uncontrolled pool fires where flames burn across the surface of pooled or spilled alcohol. Flame jetting, another hazard, may occur when refilling the fire pit if any flame is present. A small flame in the fire pit can be hard to see and could ignite the vapor inside a fuel container as the fuel is poured. This has the ability to cause an explosion that propels flames and burning liquid onto the consumer or bystanders. The fire pits may pose a fire risk, burn hazard, and potential risk of death to consumers.
According to reports, the fire pits have been associated with one death, and multiple burn injuries.
Are the Tabletop Fire Pits Recalled?
No, Rozato, the retailer of Rozato Tabletop Fire Pits, has not agreed to a recall.
The CPSC warning involves rectangular or round fire pit containers that require consumers to pour liquid fuel into the container and then ignite the pooled liquid in the same location it was poured.
The rectangular fire pits were sold in a set that includes a bamboo serving board, three extendable roasting forks, four cheese forks, and a cheese knife.
The round fire pits were sold in a set that includes four extendable roasting forks
The fire pits were sold online, at Rozato.Store, Amazon.com, StoreDune.com, StovesDirect.com, RetailMarket.net and other websites from 2022 to present for about $15 to $70.
