On July 2, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the vacuum cleaners.
According to the CPSC, the lithium-ion battery in the vacuum cleaner can overheat and ignite, posing a risk of serious injury from fire and burn hazards.
There are currently two reports of the lithium-ion battery overheating and an additional 65 reports globally.
Are the X-Force Flex Vacuum Cleaners Recalled?
Yes, Groupe SEB USA dba Rowenta USA, of Parsippany, New Jersey announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves two models of cordless vacuums:
- X-Force Flex 14.60 Animal with model number RH99A2U1
- X-Force Flex 15.60 Animal with model number RH99F2U1
The vacuums were sold in red, black and silver.
And a recalled lithium-ion battery
- Versatile X-Force’s lithium-ion battery with model number is ZR0097U2 date code 23 or 24
The batteries were sold separately or with the vacuum cleaners.
The vacuums were sold in stores at Williams Sonoma, Crate & Barrel and online at Rowenta.com, Shopify.com, Amazon.com and Walmart.com from July 2023 through Jan. 2026 for between $250 and $550.
