What is the Problem?
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the dual-action engagement system on the nail guns can malfunction and involuntarily discharge a nail, posing a laceration hazard to consumers. The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the RIDGID framing tools immediately.
Is My Framing Nailer Included in this Recall?
The July 31, 2025, recall includes about 70,000 RIDGID 18-Volt Brushless 21-Degree Framing Nailers and RIDGID 18-Volt Brushless 30-Degree Framing Nailers. The model and serial numbers are located on the data plate found either on the side of the tool or on the bottom near the battery. The recalled RIDGID Framing Nailers are as follows:
