Q’Straint Wheelchair Tie Down & Bus Recall Lawsuit

The wheelchair tie downs may pose a safety risk to consumers as the restraints could potentially fail to lock. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC are currently accepting new cases for injuries caused by the recalled tie downs. Learn more below.

Between Oct. 31 and Nov. 13, 2025, The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using certain Q’Straint tie downs.

The retractors of the wheelchair tie downs may not lock due to a potential product malfunction. This prevents a wheelchair from being properly secured, putting the wheelchair user and other passengers at a possible risk of injury. The tie downs may be found in personal vehicles, and a selection of buses.
