Polaris Ranger XP Kinetic and Pro XD Kinetic Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles (ROVs) Recall Lawsuit

Polaris has recalled its Model Year 2023-24 Ranger XP Kinetic and Model Year 2025 Pro XD Kinetic ROVs. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled side-by-sides (SxS).

What is the Problem?

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), water can leak through a cracked filter into the ROV’s high-voltage charging harness components, causing a short circuit and posing a fire hazard. The CPSC has received at least 47 reports of filter failures with the recalled ROVs, including at least six reports of melting or fire and at least four reports of sparking or smoke. The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the UTVs immediately.

Is My ROV Included in this Recall?

The June 18, 2025, recall includes approximately 5,000 ROVs and 185 accessory charger service parts or kits. The Polaris Ranger XP Kinetic vehicles were sold in camouflage and white colors. The Polaris Pro XD off-road vehicles have gray plastic body panels with a black frame and accents. “POLARIS” is stamped on the ROV’s front grilles. The part numbers for the accessory charger service parts/kits are the following: 2417296, 2417297, 2889704, and 2889486.
