Platinum Health issued a recall of the LumaRail Bed Assist Rails due to a serious risk of entrapment, asphyxiation and suffocation. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) posted the recall on Feb. 23, 2023.
Why were the bed rails recalled?
According to the CPSC, Platinum Health, LLC recalled the bed assist rails due to trapping risks and choking. The company received one report of a death due to the recalled product.

Around 53,000 bed rails were recalled.
