On Dec 18., 2025 , The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the Pedego E-Trike.
According to the assessment of CPSC, the frame may develop hair line fractures near the weld, wherein the tubes may separate. This poses both a fall and laceration hazard to consumers.
There are currently 16 reports of the trike frame breaking, including one consumer who received a laceration to their leg.
