On Nov. 26, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the Ozark Trail camping stove.
Due to a possible product malfunction, the camping stoves may catch on fire or explode while in use. This could pose a burn and injury hazard to consumers.
There are currently 26 reports of the camping stove exploding or catching on fire. At this time, reports include 16 incidents of injuries such as second degree burns that resulted from using this product.
Are the Ozark Trail Camping Stoves Recalled?
Yes. China Window Industry Co., Ltd of Taipei, Taiwan, announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves dark green Ozark Trail Camping Stoves with model number BG2247A1,which can be found inside of the fuel compartment.
The camping stoves were sold in Walmart stores nationwide, and online at Walmart.com from March 2023 through Oct. 2025 for between $8 and $45.
