The snorkel mask may be experiencing a malfunction that may pose a health and safety risk to consumers, and could lead to losing consciousness or death. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC are currently accepting new cases for injuries caused by the OUSPT Full Face Snorkel Masks. Learn more below.

On March. 5, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the full face snorkel mask.

According to the assessment of CPSC, the snorkel mask may cause consumers to experience labored breathing, which could cause the loss of consciousness or excess fluid to fill up in the lungs which could lead to drowning. In addition, the mask may cause consumers to experience an increase in levels of carbon dioxide which may exacerbate the difficulty of breathing in the mask.

There are currently five reports of consumers who had trouble breathing, felt light-headed or lost consciousness while using the product. There has been one lawsuit alleging that the product caused a drowning fatality.

Are the OUSPT Snorkel Masks Recalled?

No, Field Life, of China, the seller, has, at this time, not responded to the CPSC’s requests for information or to recall the product.

The full-face snorkel masks have a glass screen and a breathing apparatus that covers the mouth and nose, and have a snorkel pipe located at the top center of the product. The snorkels come in a variety of colors, and the word “OUSPT” can be found printed on the snorkel tube.

The snorkels were sold online through Amazon.com from March 2019 through Feb. 2026
