On Oct. 23, 2025, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the sauna blanket.

Due to a current product malfunction, the blanket may overheat while in use. This may lead to a possible burn hazard to consumers.

There are currently 65 reports of the sauna blankets overheating, including 32 reports of burn injuries.

Are the Sauna Blankets Recalled?

Yes. Lifepro Fitness of Howell, NJ a product safety recall.

This recall involves all Lifepro Bioremedy Infrared Sauna Blankets that have a control pad with a gray face and with model numbers:

  • LP-BRMDYL-BLK
  • LP-BRMDYL-GRY
  • LP-BRMDYR-BLK
  • LP-BRMDYR-GRY
  • LP-BRMDYR-BLU
  • LP-BRMDYR-PNK
  • LP-BRMDYR-PRPL

The recalled blankets were sold in two sizes, regular and large, and came in colors of black, grey, pink and purple. “Lifepro” and the model number are printed on the front of the blanket and the controller.

The sauna blankets were sold online through Lifepro, Amazon, Walmart, QVC and Dick’s Sporting Goods from September 2022 through June 2025. They were priced between $179 and $199.
