Knog Bicycle Light Recall Lawsuit

On Oct. 30, 2025, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the bicycle lights.

Due to a malfunction within the lithium-ion battery, the bike light may overheat. This poses a potential risk of overheating and catching on fire, and could lead to burn injuries.

There are currently five reports of the battery catching on fire or exploding.

Are Knog Bicycle Lights Recalled?

Yes. Knog Pty Ltd, of Grapevine, Texas has announced a product safety recall.

This recall involves the Knog Blinder 900 and Blinder 1300 front bicycle lights with batch codes as follows:

  • 0124AA
  • 0423AA
  • 0723AA
  • 0923AA
  • 1023AA
  • 1123AA
  • 11A23AA

The batch codes can be found on the underside of the light. The lights have a black exterior. The word “Blinder” can be found located on the light’s handle. They were sold individually, and in a set, and came with a mount.

These products were sold in stores at independent bicycle retailers nationwide and on Amazon between January 2023 and August 2025 for between $60 and $100.
