What is the Problem?
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the motorcycle’s primary gear for the crankshaft can fail, posing a crash hazard. The CPSC warns consumers to stop riding these Kawasaki motorcycles immediately.
Is My Motorcycle Included in this Recall?
The April 24, 2025, recall includes about 3,400 Kawasaki Model Year 2025 KX450, KX450SR, and KX450X Series Motorcycles. The motorcycles are sold in lime green. The following model numbers and vehicle identification numbers (VINs) are included in this recall:

The motorcycles were sold at authorized Kawasaki dealers nationwide from June 2024 through March 2025 for between $10,500 and $13,600.
