Instinct Cordless Hair Clippers Recall Lawsuit

StyleCraft’s Instinct Professional Vector Motor Cordless Hair Clippers have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled Instinct hair trimmers.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the lithium-ion battery in the recalled clippers can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. Over 50,000 trimmers were recalled on June 20, 2024. According to the CPSC, there have been six reports of the lithium-ion batteries overheating or causing a fire, including one burn injury. The CPSC also warns consumers to stop using the clippers immediately to avoid potential burn injuries.

Over the past three years, Johnson//Becker lawyers have successfully tried multiple lithium-ion battery cases.

StyleCraft Instinct Cordless Clippers with model number SC607M were included in the recall. Only lot numbers 35-22, 40-22, 15-23, 20-23, 25-23, 30-23, 35-23, and 40-23. The model numbers and lot numbers are printed on the back of the clippers. The trimmers were sold in black, red, and blue. The letters “SC” and the name “INSTINCT” are printed on the front cover. The clippers were sold at professional beauty supply stores nationwide and online at and from January 2023 through May 2024 for about $250.
