Hyper Tough, Worx, and Portland Chainsaws and Pole Saws Recall Lawsuit

Positec Tool Corporation has recalled its Hyper Touch, Worx, and Portland Chainsaws and Pole Saws. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled saws.

What is the Problem?

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the main switch on the recalled chainsaws and pole saws can fail, allowing the saws to continue to run even after the switch is released, posing a laceration hazard. The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the recalled chainsaws and pole saws immediately.

Is My Chainsaw or Pole Saw Included in this Recall?

The July 3, 2025, recall includes about 50,000 Hyper Tough 9-Amp Electric Corded 14” Chainsaws, Worx 8-Amp 14” Electric Chainsaws, Worx 8-Amp Electric Pole Saws, and Portland 9-Amp 14” Chainsaws.
