What is the Problem?
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recalled hoses can burst, posing a risk of impact and impaired hearing. The CPSC has received at least 222 reports of the hoses bursting, resulting in at least 29 injuries. The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the HydroTech hoses immediately.
Is My Hose Included in This Recall?
The July 24, 2025, recall includes about 3.6 million Hydro Tech Expandable Burst-Proof Hoses. The 5/8-inch hoses were sold in the following lengths (feet): 25, 50, 60, 75, 100, and 200. The hoses were sold in various colors. The recall includes hoses manufactured on or before August 31, 2024.
The HydroTech Expandable Burst-Proof Hoses were sold at Ace Hardware, Amazon, Do It Best, Home Depot, Target, Walmart, and other stores nationwide and online from January 2021 through April 2025 for between $20 and $136.
