On June 11, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the teething toy.
According to the CPSC, the teething toys may violate the mandatory standard for toys. The silicone strings are smaller and longer than is permitted by the standard and may pose a choking hazard to children.
Are the Teething Toys Recalled?
No, Dongguan Takatu Technology Co. Ltd, doing business as Etetoo, of China has not agreed to recall these activity toys or offer a remedy to consumers.
This warning involves Etetoo branded pull string teething toys. They consist of a light blue disc shape with a light blue ball in the center and four multi-colored, silicone tentacle-looking pull strings that run through the ball. The disc has four push buttons. “Pull String Activity Toy” is printed on the front of the product packaging and “X0043JN6N3” on a label on the back.
The teething toys were sold on Amazon.com from Feb. 2024 through March 2026 for about $10.
