On June 29, 2023, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled CaTeam’s canvas baby hammock swings due to suffocation risks.
According to the CPSC, baby hammock swing products violate the Safe Sleep for Babies Act. The act was signed into law on May 16, 2022, making it unlawful for inclined infant sleeper products to be manufactured or sold to consumers.
Approximately 700 baby hammocks were included in the recall.
What models are included in the baby hammock swings recall?
CaTeam’s product recall includes all of their baby hammock swings. These swings were made of wood and cloth with adjustable height settings and had “CaTeam” printed on the stitched label.
The baby hammock swings were sold in the following colors:
- Taupe gray
- Dark gray
The CPSC urges consumers to immediately stop using baby hammock swing products.
