Cannondale Dave Mountain Bike Recall Lawsuit

Cannondale’s Dave Bicycles have been recalled because they pose a fall and injury hazard. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new Cannondale Dave Bicycle lawsuits. Learn more below.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) February 29, 2024, recall, over 700 Dave Bicycles are affected. The recall states that the bike’s headtube/downtube weld can become damaged and separate from the bicycle’s frame, posing the risk of serious injury.

The recall includes Model Year 2021 through 2023 Cannondale 26” Dave Bicycles and framesets. These bikes were sold in deep teal and stealth gray. The name “Dave” is printed on the bicycle frame’s top tube. “Cannondale” is printed on the downtube.

The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the recalled bicycles immediately. There have been two reports of damage to the headtube/downtube weld, causing the bicycle’s headtube to separate from the bicycle frame.

The recalled bicycles were sold at bike stores nationwide and online at Cannondale.com from June 2021 through September 2023 for about $1,300.
