What is the Problem?
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the weld line on the electric scooter can crack, causing the stem to break, posing a fall and injury hazard. The CPSC has received at least 10 reports of weld cracking on the scooter’s stem, including at least one that resulted in an injury. The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the Apollo Electric Scooters immediately.
Is My Electric Scooter Included in this Recall?
The July 24, 2025, includes about 800 Apollo City 2024 model year electric scooters. The scooters have a gray exterior with a highlight and rear brake light. “Apollo” is printed on the scooter’s stem, and “Apollo City” is displayed on the scooter’s deck. The recalled scooters’ serial numbers range from 4202240300001 to 4202240301236 and 4202240400001 to 4202240400764. The serial number can be found on the bottom of the scooter deck.
The Apollo Electric Scooters were sold at Best Buy stores nationwide and online at Apolloscooters.com, Amazon.com, and BestBuy.com between June 2024 and April 2025 for about $1,800.
